Disturbance/Assault - Around 1:30am on Friday, Police received a report of a disturbance/assault outside The Bistro at The Beach on Front Street in the City of Hamilton. It appears that the victim, a 32 year old Pembroke man, was assaulted by a group of men. As a result he sustained serious injuries and was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. The Pembroke man is currently in the Intensive Care Unit. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information to contact the Hamilton Police Station on 295-0011.

Fatal RTC - Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses to the fatal road traffic collision that occurred at 6am Wednesday on Berry Hill Road in Paget which claimed the life of 20 year old Geoffrey Burns of Pembroke. The other motorcyclist involved, a 58 year old Hamilton parish man, remains at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital and is currently on a general ward. He sustained serious injuries to his right hip, right wrist and a finger on his right hand; however those injuries are not life threatening at this time. Both motorcycles involved were extensively damaged. Inquiries into this incident are ongoing.

Fatal RTC - The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 20 year old Geoffrey Burns of Pembroke. At 6am on Wednesday, Police received a report of a serious road traffic collision on Berry Hill Road in Paget near the Botanical Gardens involving two motorcycles. It appears that the motorcycles were traveling in opposite directions on Berry Hill Road when they collided. Mr. Burns sustained serious injuries and was rushed to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance; however, he subsequently succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead by an on call physician at 7am. The other motorcyclist sustained what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries.
