July 25 - Weekend Report

Injury RTC - Around 6:25pm today, Police received a report of a single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on North Shore Road in Smith’s parish near the Bermuda Aquarium, Museum & Zoo. Details about how the collision occurred are unclear at this time; however it appears that the rider of the motorcycle involved, an 18 year old Pembroke man, sustained a head injury. The motorcycle received relatively minor damage. Traffic was diverted away from the scene for approximately an hour. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to contact the Roads Policing Unit on 295-0011.

Assault

Around 11:30am on Saturday, Police responded to a report of an assault at Bernard’s Park in Pembroke. It appears that the victim, a 44 year old Sandys parish man, was assaulted by several men in the park. The victim sustained abrasions to his face & body. He was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment and was subsequently released. Officers spoke with several witnesses who were in the park at the time of the assault and would like to thank those individuals for their assistance. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for anyone that may have been in the Bernard’s Park area around the time of the assault and saw anyone acting suspiciously or anyone with any information regarding this matter to contact the Hamilton Criminal Investigation Unit on 295-0011.


All incidents are under investigation.
